As reported before, the European Parliament has launched the Written Declaration 30/2008 to support the claim of major European Volunteer Organisations for 2011 to be the European Year of Volunteering. The Written Declaration was formally adopted on the 15th of July, 454 MEPs have signed it. This constitutes a great success and shows the growing support of the European Parliament for volunteering.
