The European Volunteer Centre and its partners in the European Volunteer Measurement Project, Centro di Servizio per il Voluntario del Lazio and the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies, together with Ms. Patrizia Toia, Member of the European Parliament held a Round Table on Measuring the Value of Volunteering.  Please see the programme of the event.

 

The event took place at the European Parliament, in Brussels, on Wednesday 1 February, from 16:30-19:00 and gathered policy makers, civil society and researchers. The round table took account of the amount, character and impact of volunteering, addressing the policy recommendation on research and data collection made by the European Commission to EU Member States.
