Conference Science against Poverty

Spanish Presidency event "Towards a European social citizenship"

In the context of the Spanish EU presidency, the conference “Towards a European social citizenship" will take place from 7th-9th May in Malaga in Spain. The event will focus on the topic of the construction of a European citizenship founded on solidarity and social inclusion and civil society`s role in this process. It provides a platform for around 700 participants from across Europe representing relevant stakeholders from the European, national, regional and local level. Second Job Shadowing at CEV 
Brussels, Belgium: 31/05/2010 - 04/06/2010
After the success of the first edition, CEV is preparing the second edition of a job shadowing week to give the opportunity to staff or volunteers of CEV member organisations to make a five-day visit in CEV office in Brussels. Up to 15 participants will get the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of CEV's work. The job shadowing will include workshops, visits to the EU institutions, training on EU funding opportunities, as well as social and networking activities.
2010 Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development

IAVE 2011 World Volunteer Conference 
Sentosa, Singapore: 24/01/2011 - 27/01/2011
The IAVE World Volunteer Conference will take place from 24th-27th January 2011 in Sentosa, Singapore and will be hosted by Singapore`s National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. The conference also coincides with IAVE`s 40th anniversary, as well as the tenth anniversary of the International Year of Volunteering (IYV+10). An affiliated Youth Volunteer Conference will be held from 21st to 23rd January 2011 on the campus of the Singapore Management University. The conference will, among others, address issues such as corporate volunteering, research into volunteer capital, risk management, large scale events, humanitarian relief and episodic volunteering.
