Promoting, modernising and boosting volunteer work

MOVISIE (former name CIVIQ) is the knowledge centre and consultancy agency par excellence for volunteer work in the Netherlands. We disseminate good practice, develop new methodologies and provide advice, training and support, as well as doing promotional work, research and product development.

MOVISIE speaks the language of the voluntary sector and has excellent knowledge of volunteering. We seek out opportunities for volunteer work and are familiar with trends in the community and at the organizational level. At the same time, we are aware of the difficulty many organizations have recruiting and retaining new volunteers and know about the problems in the care sector. We know that some sections of the population find the barriers to volunteering too daunting.

MOVISIE is a not-for-profit organization. Encouraging and supporting volunteer work is our top priority. Much of our work is done with financial aid from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. We also work for voluntary organizations, local and provisional support services and local authorities. We are a demand-driven organization, creative and performance-based, working on a project basis. Our aim: a community with a good quality of life with active citizens.
