Életfa Volunteer Centre assists the process of creating a society which involves community solidarity, where social services are delivered to homes, and individuals take responsibility in sustainable development and safe coexistence. The Volunteer Centre provides citizens of the region conditions for voluntary work and helps recipient organisations in receiving volunteers. To achieve these goals Életfa Volunteer Centre offers the following services:
1. Database: we are setting up and developing a web-accessible database where we collect and publish data and requirements of both volunteers and our corporate partners (non-profit and for-profit recipient organisations).
2. Mediation: in our database we try to find those volunteer opportunities which best meet the volunteers’ requirements. Our corporate partners are assisted in receiving volunteers. Mediation can be done through personal contact, by internet or by phone.
3. Promotion: to make people familiar with the idea of volunteerism and for volunteers themselves, we launch a wide range of information in the media, on the street and in public institutions.

- Training for volunteer coordinators in institutions
- Information lectures on employing volunteers (legal background, ethical requirements, contracts, etc.)
- Tailor made training on request
5. Providing information: Életfa Volunteer Centre operates as an information source. We aim to pass on relevant information to our inquiring partners, to recipient organisations and to local citizens. We also act in connecting our target groups. We give information lectures in local regional centres every month.
6. Development: We regularly conduct surveys among our non-profit and corporate partners and volunteers. We analyse the results of these surveys and make innovative steps to develop our services. Service development is financed by funds.
7. Programmes:
· Training for volunteer coordinators in institutions.
· Training on volunteer management.
· Kapu (Gateway) Training: for volunteers working with people who need care.
