Member information

The Portuguese Volunteer Confederation (CPV)’s main purpose is to represent all volunteers and volunteer organisations in Portugal, no matter what are their areas of specialisation, and contribute to defend their rights and interests, through various kinds of activities. In addition, CPV wants to preserve and renew the volunteer work identity, strengthen the quality of volunteers’ work, and highlight and increase the role of volunteer work in the Portuguese society.

At the moment CPV represents 16 national volunteer organisations or organisations that have projects developed with the help of volunteers. These organisations work in major areas such as health care, social services, sports and community development. CPV is proud to say that it has emerged from the civil society; it is now willing to expand its network and its scope of action in new areas such as youth, culture and environment.
