Member information

The Pablo de Olavide University created the Office of Volunteering and Solidarity (Oficina de Voluntariado y Solidaridad) in 1999. The Office is under the responsibility of the Vice President for Social Participation, and stands as a point of information for any member of the university community dealing with solidarity activities and participating in volunteer programs, associations or NGOs that incorporate the participation of volunteers into their activities.

Main objectives of the Office

• informing about existing social needs
• matching volunteering demands from the University community with the social activities of various NGOs
• contributing to the creation of a more cohesive university with a human dimension in addition to the academic dimension.
  

The four main priorities are:

1. Bringing together volunteers and NGOs
   
2. Training and awareness-raising actions
   
3. Solidarity intervention projects
   
4. Research in the field of volunteering
