The integrative power of volunteering: The integration of migrants
12 - 13 October 2005, Wolverhampton, England
CEV held its General Assembly in the framework of the European Volunteering Assembly EVA in Wolverhampton, England, on 14 October 2005
(with half a day meeting on 13 October for the statutory business).
The discussions of the General Assembly focused on “The integrative power of volunteering: The integration of migrants”.
The European Volunteering Assembly is the first ever meeting of its kind organised by Volunteering England in collaboration with CEV. A high point in the UK Year of the Volunteer 2005, and marking the UK Presidency of the EU, the event provided a showcase for volunteering in the UK.
The event also provided an opportunity to review progress on the European Volunteering Roadmap 2010, published following the Eurofestation event held in November 2004. CEV had been commissioned to give content input to the EVA and organized workshops on EU YOUTH programme, an assessment of progress made regarding the Roadmap 2010, on the employee engagement in volunteering and a training course on the Marketplace model invented by CIVIQ in the framework of the European Volunteering Assembly EVA in Wolverhampton, England, on 14 October 2005 (with half a day meeting on 13 October for the statutory business).
The discussions of the General Assembly focused on “The integrative power of volunteering: The integration of migrants”.
On 14 October, CEV held its General Assembly conference part in collaboration with the INVOLVE seminar on the integration of migrants through volunteering. Please refer to the INVOLVE site for more information.
